Strong authentication credential management from a single point of control
naviGO Server is a next-generation solution that manages and automates the lifecycle of strong authentication or two-factor user credentials.
naviGO Server integrates seamlessly with your single sign-on and identity management systems, providing a simple, single point of administration for all user authentication: devices, user ID’s, and passwords. The software automates authenticator management from the first to the last day, for failover and replacement. By managing the end-to-end lifecycle process for logical access, naviGO Server ensures users of a uniform experience from issuance through termination. User self-service capabilities eliminate unnecessary lock-out and down-time. The game changing Emergency Access feature ensures productivity is not lost, while maintaining a high level of security. Users can securely reset and unlock their cards from the Windows Credential Provider, their desktop or a self-service kiosk.
Keeps user credentials secure
naviGO Server uses a secure infrastructure to maintain the smart card and user information. The smart card data, which can include physical access rights, logical access rights, and certificates, is encrypted to prevent security breaches.
The software relies on a SQL database to store encrypted information about the cards it manages. Cryptographic keys, such as the key encrypting key and master key sets for the smart cards, are stored in a central security module.
Leverages your existing IT infrastructure
naviGO Server leverages your existing network infrastructure to accelerate deployment and eliminate redundant costs. Built on .Net 2.0+, naviGO Server is the first .Net 2.0 credential management solution to use the native Microsoft structure for user authentication of smart cards as well as central administration via Active Directory.
Ideal for environments requiring support for multiple operating systems, naviGO Server runs on Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. A wide range of client systems are supported.
Open support for multiple vendors’ devices and readers gives you maximum flexibility in equipment selection. In addition, you can switch equipment at any time without the need to change credential management systems.
Use naviGO Server with your existing PKI -- or with no PKI at all.
naviGO Server supports Microsoft and other popular public key infrastructures (PKIs). But it can also be used without one, eliminating the expense of purchasing a PKI.
Smart cards are commonly used to securely store digital certificates. As digital certificates and smart cards become an integral part of computer security in the corporate environment, naviGO Server enables your users to manage their cards and security credentials easily and with minimal IT support.
The advantage of storing PKI credentials on smart cards is that all cryptographic operations are performed on the card, eliminating the need for the user’s credentials to be revealed outside the authenticator. Securing the user’s data in this manner means that even if a workstation is compromised, the user’s credentials remain secure.
